Rules, Terms & Guidelines
- You must be 18 years of age.
- No extreme sex or extreme violence. R rated is fine.
- First Register, Sign In, and then choose from the book titles that interest you, write your version of the next Paragraph, Scene or Chapter (Minimum 100 words. Maximum 10,000 words), then Submit it.
- Staff and Judges will choose the winner. New winning selection will be posted promptly for online viewing. You will be notified by e-mail if your version, or any part of your entry, is selected and added to the ongoing online book. You will receive recognition as co-author for your contribution and a Free Copy of the book when published
- Grammar is important, but rambling and confusing thoughts will loose a judge faster than misspelled words or incorrect punctuation.
- NextWriter.com Staff may choose the best and most creative presentation regardless of correct grammar or punctuation. Our proofreaders may correct minor problems, but your chance of being chosen are greater if you show a higher degree of perfection in all areas.
- NextWriter.com Staff reserves the right to use all or any part of your writing.
- NextWriter.com Staff may edit, rewrite, change or delete any part of your presentation.
- Individuals may submit more than one entry.
- Once you submit your writing to NextWriter.com, you give up all rights to said writing. NextWriter.com becomes sole owner of all material submitted.
- You agree that your entry is original in it’s entirety, and has never been published, and you agree not to violate any copyrights or country laws in your presentation. You agree that you personally are legally responsible for any and all legal actions or complaints pertaining to your entry.
- We have zero tolerance for any person or persons submitting previously published or copyrighted articles. We reserve the right to prosecute any violations of this policy and will provide your information to authorities or the legal owners of any copyrighted or previously published writings.
- The final Chapter of each Book will not be posted Online. It will be released in the published Book.
- Everyone is eligible to enter this competition, including Next Writer staff, family and friends. The goal is to produce the best books possible!
- The Contest is simple: Register, Sign in and choose the Title that interests you ....begin writing.
- There is no deadline. The books are finished when the final chapter is completed.
- We can not acknowledge receiving entries, or return copies, please keep a copy for your records. If your entry(or any part of your entry) is chosen, we will notify you by email.
I understand that my personal information and email address will not be used for any other purpose, other than by Next Writer Staff, to contact me regarding my entry or to update me about news or specials offers, and other reasons I personally authorized.
